The UK practice Squire & Partners has been granted planning permission for a 24-storey diamond-shaped boutique hotel in East London, UK.

Planning consent for the 76m-tall building has been given by Hackney Council, although no construction date is set yet.

The back of the building is 51m-high and is clad in glazed triple skin with etched panels, according to bdonline.co.uk.

Featuring a glazed entrance, the project has been inspired by the 1980s paintings of Bridget Riley.
