A LEED Gold certificate from the US Green Building Council has been awarded to the Verizon Wireless communications store in Avondale, USA.
This is the company’s first retail location in Arizona and its first nationally to receive the green rating.
The building employs energy-efficient and sustainable strategies including systems for lighting, heating and cooling, and optimises the use of water and energy.
It also made full use of recycled building materials in its construction.
Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone.
