US-based Diller Scofidio + Renfro has unveiled the master plan for a new digital media campus in Mena Zayed, Abu Dhabi.
The project is being delivered for the Abu Dhabi-based content creation community, Twofour54.
The proposed waterfront campus will be the newest addition to Abu Dhabi’s skyline and is part of the Emirate’s 2030 economic vision.
The 600,000m² development will feature art studios and post-production facilities, a specialist training academy, offices, conference facilities, hotels, retail, restaurants and residential units.
Bernard Tschumi designed the concept master plan for the project, while UN studio will work alongside lead consultant Adamson Associates International on the “Zone 1” development.
Kohn Pedersen Fox has been appointed to develop “Zone 2”, which will house the Abu Dhabi Media Company’s new headquarters.
The creative campus will house more than 12,000 media specialists from the broadcast, digital media, gaming, publishing, music and film industries.
