A LEED Gold certificate from the US Green Building Council has been awarded to the Sony Electronics headquarters building in San Diego, US.

The buildings employ sustainable strategies such as the use of locally sourced recycled construction materials, energy and water-efficient systems and the use of fuel-efficient vehicles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The building captures 90% of storm water runoff onsite, maximises energy performance by 22.6% and receives 75% natural lighting.
