Work on the new Mount Pleasant Campus at Liverpool John Moores University in the UK will begin next month.

Wates Construction has been awarded a £19.5m ($29.9m) contract to oversee the project.

The scheme will include building new teaching facilities to accommodate 6,000 students, the faculty of business and law, and the faculty of media arts and social science.

Work is expected to be complete in 2012, according to liverpoolecho.co.uk.
