Building work on the proposed Chichester Museum, designed by Keith Williams Architects in West Sussex, UK, has begun.

The £6.9m ($10.5m) project involves building three separate galleries, as well as research, education and storage space.

Keith Williams is also working with Chichester District authorities to incorporate design elements of the city's Roman baths, on which the site is located.

The practice won the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) competition in 2007 beating Panter Hudspith, Tony Fretton Architects, Caruso St John, van Heyningen & Haward and Jamie Fobert.
