A new footwear store, the Geox Breathing Building, built using innovative breathable technology, has been unveiled in Milan, Italy.
Built by the Italian footwear company, the building is the company’s largest store in the world.
The building’s design uses natural sunlight to regulate the interior temperature.
The façade features hundreds of stainless steel plates in shades of gold, copper and bronze, placed in an inclined position.
The plates are perforated with micro-holes that reflect the sun’s rays while maintaining visibility.
The novel design helped the building reduce its CO2 emissions by 75%, according to elitetraveler.com.
