The revamped Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, US, has been unveiled following a ten-month expansion.

The $150m expansion project has been designed by Rick Mather Architects (RMA) and involved building a new 15,330m² museum wing.

RMA also designed the master plan for the refurbishment of 5.5ha campus in Richmond, according to bdonline.co.uk.

The new five-storey building, clad in limestone and glass, features a library, 150-seat lecture hall, a cafe with a garden terrace and pool and a restaurant as well as two floors of new gallery space and a 600-space parking deck.
