The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia has been given the national award in the public design category at the Australian Interior Design Awards. The public building also received the best of state award in the commercial design category. Designed by Joint

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia has been given the national award in the public design category at the Australian Interior Design Awards.

The public building also received the best of state award in the commercial design category.

Designed by Joint Venture Architects Woods Bagot and NH Architecture, the building was constructed by Brookfield Multiplex and delivered for Plenary Group.

The State Government of Victoria, the City of Melbourne and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust also collaborated on the joint venture.

The structure is also the first 6 Star Green Star environmentally rated convention and exhibition centre in the world, according to architectureanddesign.com.au.
