Landscape and urban design firm Gillespies has won an international design competition to renovate the archaeological site of Roman baths in Beirut, Lebanon. The baths are being developed into a visitor centre and concert venue surrounded by terraced gardens by Lebanese company Solide

Landscape and urban design firm Gillespies has won an international design competition to renovate the archaeological site of Roman baths in Beirut, Lebanon.

The baths are being developed into a visitor centre and concert venue surrounded by terraced gardens by Lebanese company Solidere.

The practice will work on improving accessibility while preserving the historic remains of the site.

The scheme will also involve revamping the nearby Omar Daouk area, according to bdonline.co.uk .
