New York-based Perkins and Will has unveiled the designs for the new school of business at the University at Albany in the US.
The $64m business school building will rise 50ft north of the academic podium complex of buildings.
The intricate podium features vertical columns and is equipped with a pool with fountains and a 250ft carillon tower.
Clad in glass and white concrete, the building over-looks a sunken garden and includes a large hall on the second level, which is equipped with skylights.
The university building will be constructed on a surface-level parking lot and is expected to open in 2013, according to timesunion.com.
The university master plan was designed by architect Edward Durell Stone.
