Neptune Wirral Secures Funding for UK Mixed-Use Scheme

Developer Neptune Wirral has secured £24m ($35.45m) in funding from HSBC for the second phase of the Wirral regeneration scheme in New Brighton, UK.

The second phase of the mixed-use scheme will involve building a supermarket, hotel, cinema, restaurants, cafes and bars, a water-sports training centre, model boating lake and a lido.

The Manchester-based firm Bower & Kirkland was appointed the main contractor.

Neptune Developments will provide £33.6m ($49.6m) towards the development, according to regen.net.

The first phase of the scheme was completed in 2008 and includes a 800-seat Floral Pavilion and Conference Centre.
