International architecture firm Woods Bagot will design the master plan for the renovation of the Rossiya Hotel in Moscow, Russia.
The practice beat other finalists KPF Architects and Swanke Hayden Connell Architects to win the commission.
The £500m ($738m) scheme’s master plan will involve building four five-star hotels, along with apartments and a concert hall.
Work on the project is expected to begin this year.
Foster & Partners previously designed a scheme that was later scrapped following funding issues.
