Qatar has unveiled design plans for five new stadiums to be built in the country if it wins the bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Each of the five stadiums has unique design features. One stadium features a special membrane to broadcast current match footage while the second stadium is clad in colourful ribbons representing each team.

The third stadium will be equipped with a pool, spa zone and shopping mall while the fourth will have an entrance connected to the Qatar-Bahrain Friendship Bridge.

The solar-powered stadiums will feature a climate-control system, according to popsci.com.

Qatar plans to dismantle and ship components of the stadiums to other countries after the world cup to promote the sport.
