Designed by Archial Architects, phase I of a £43m ($61.7m) development at East Surrey College in the UK is scheduled for completion in June this year.
The 18,000ft² building on the existing campus at Gatton Point North features student facilities, teaching spaces, a sports hall and gym, a two-storey learning resource centre and gardens.
Featuring a curved zinc-clad three-storey block with translucent cladding panels, the building contains learning and administration spaces.
The building employs many water and energy-efficient sustainable features and optimises natural day light, while internal glazed screens give the building an airy feel.
Phase II of the construction programme is scheduled for completion this year.
The project has been funded in part by the Learning and Skills Council.
