A shortlist of six designs for the new branch of the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum planned for Dundee’s waterfront, has been revealed.

The shortlist, selected from more than 120 firms, consists of Edinburgh-based Sutherland Hussey, Viennese architect Delugan Meissl, Kengo Kuma, Steven Holl Architects, REX and Snøhetta.

The six firms will produce design concepts and models that will go on public view in the library of the University of Abertay, Dundee, and the winner of the design competition will be announced soon.

The museum is due to open in 2014, according to the BBC.
