The architect stressed the importance of turning the town into one of most prosperous and dynamic in the nation.

With the Eurostar rail link providing a gateway to Europe and the introduction of the fast train service to London, Farrell believes the town can become one of the vibrant communities

Among Farrell's previous achievements are the Thames Gateway and the Medway towns.
