Work is moving ahead at the new home of the University of Nottingham's School of Biosciences and the School of Veterinary and Medical Sciences in the UK.

The £7m ($10.11m) biosciences building is touted to be the largest straw-bale scheme in the nation.

The 3,100m² prefabricated structure is expected to achieve an excellent BREEAM rating with timber and straw sourced locally from university farmland.

The scheme's unique design incorporates environmentally sustainable measures and materials, according to architectsjournal.co.uk.
