Skanska Wins US Airport Terminal Expansion Contract

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) has awarded Skanska a contract to expand and renovate Logan International Airport in the US. Under the Skr375m ($48m) contract, Skanska will provide preconstruction services including planning, cost estimates, logistics and procurement.

Under the Skr375m ($48m) contract, Skanska will provide preconstruction services including planning, cost estimates, logistics and procurement.

The project will include the renovation of the baggage-handling system and check-in hall at Terminal C.

It will also involve the construction of a new space for planned future extension, and replacing terminal's HVAC system by installing the ceiling, sprinklers, lighting, electrical and telecommunications systems.

Skanska USA will begin work on the site soon and plans to complete the project within 18 months.
