Abu Dhabi-based Marib Holdings has unveiled plans to build a "space city" in Bangalore, India.

The space city project will include an entertainment theme park and is estimated to be worth Rs184bn ($3.9bn).

The mixed-use project will be spread over an area of 1,600 acres and will include recreation and business spaces, and a residential township with over 7,200 homes.

The project received principal approval from the state government in Karnataka.

The space city master plan will be submitted in July for final approval, according to allindiatoday.com.
