The nine-courtroom facility is estimated to cost $211.8m and will be funded through federal grants.

The new courthouse building is expected to incorporate many green features in its design, according to ukiahdailyjournal.com.

The project is expected to be complete by 2015 and replace the existing courthouse, which was closed last year.
