Work to Begin on Mixed-Use Tower

Work will begin this year on a mixed-use twin-tower project in Plymouth, UK. The tower block worth £40m ($60.7m) will comprise of a 21-storey block alongside a second 13-storey block, linked by a 23-storey core. The building will feature student flats, an arts centre, 20,000ft&sup

Work will begin this year on a mixed-use twin-tower project in Plymouth, UK.

The tower block worth £40m ($60.7m) will comprise of a 21-storey block alongside a second 13-storey block, linked by a 23-storey core.

The building will feature student flats, an arts centre, 20,000ft² of exhibition space and other retail spaces.

The project, which is being delivered by Liverpool Victoria Asset Management, recieved planning permission from Plymouth City Council in May.

The scheme is expected to be complete in August 2012, according to local news site thisisplymouth.co.uk.
