A mixed-use twin-tower project, touted to be the tallest towers in Western Europe at 1,059ft, is set for completion in 2016.

The project, designed by UK-based Norman Foster Architects, will be located next to the Seine River in Paris, France.

Developer Hermitage Immobilier has signed an agreement with La Défense management company EPAD for delivery of the project.

The three-million-square-foot project is expected to begin construction upon receipt of building permits, which are expected by 2011, according to globest.com.

Included within the towers are 1.8 million square feet of housing, a hotel, 430,000ft² of offices, and 323,000ft² of retail and leisure facilities such as a 1,300-seat theatre, an art gallery and swimming pools.
