International architecture practice Kasian will design the new Royal Canadian Mounted Police E Division Headquarters in Surrey, Canada.

The 76,162m² complex will house 2,700 police personnel, currently housed in 25 separate locations across the city.

The public-private partnership project between the Government of Canada and Green Timbers Accommodation Partners consortium will be built at a cost of C$966m (US$911m).

The consortium is formed by Bouygues Batiment International, HSBC Infrastructure and ETDE FM Canada.

The scheme will be located on a 14ha site in the Green Timbers urban forest, and is expected to be complete by December 2012.
