International architecture practice Woodhead will design the new headquarters for the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency in Canberra, Australia.
The practice beat 120 other architecture firms to win the 20,700m² project.
The building will feature a campus workplace model and incorporate many energy efficient elements in the design.
The design will include the use of recycled materials and biofiltration green walls, natural displacement air-conditioning and raised floors.
The scheme is expected to be complete by 2012, according to architectureanddesign.com.au.
