Lacoste & Stevenson to Design Podium Extension in Australia

Lacoste & Stevenson Architects has won a competition to design a podium tower extension at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. The contest was won in association with DarylJacksonRobinDyke Architects and 6 Degrees Architects, who will together create an new university

Lacoste & Stevenson Architects has won a competition to design a podium tower extension at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.

The contest was won in association with DarylJacksonRobinDyke Architects and 6 Degrees Architects, who will together create an new university entrance.

The extension features a curved glass façade with a frit pattern applied above the awning level.

The three-storey structure's cladding changes to suit the functions of the building, reports architectureanddesign.com.au.

The semi-transparent building will be wrapped around the podium of buildings 1 and 2 and Lacoste & Stevenson will include a green roof composed in a lace pattern, continuing the lace form of the structure.
