Dutch practice Maxwan Architects & Urbanists Designs has unveiled the designs for a mixed-use scheme in Geneva, Switzerland.
The proposed new design retains the qualities of the existing area while creating an industrial, leisure and housing community.
The design features a large-scale street network traversing through the industrial area, which transitions to a pastoral riverfront residential area.
The scheme features gradient-like buildings on the main street, while retail space along with other sports and leisure activities extend towards the east of the development.
The project will be constructed using sustainable building practices and will incorporate a living machine technology inspired by current green houses on site, according to ecofriend.org.
