UK practice Glenn Howells Architects has been appointed to revamp the Newbury Racecourse located in Berkshire, UK.
The practice will work with development partner David Wilson Homes to deliver the detailed design work for the project.
The mixed-use scheme will feature 1,500 new homes, a 120-bed hotel, a new bridge providing access to the racecourse and an upgraded conference and other facilities.
The project will also involve improvements to road and rail infrastructure around the racecourse, which received outline permission this year.
Newbury Racecourse has secured a loan to fund the project which will begin next year, according to regen.net.
