Regeneration plans for the Maze prison in Northern Ireland have been unveiled by government agency Northern Ireland Executive.

The plans will include redevelopment of the 140ha site to build a peace building, which will house a conflict resolution centre, a museum and an educational facility.

The project is awaiting approval from the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The agency is expected to submit an EU funding application for the project, according to regen.net.
