New Stadium Planned in Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland may build its first new indoor football stadium at North Foreshore in north Belfast. The Crusaders Football Club and Newington Football Club are expected to provide £25m ($39m) investment towards the proposed stadium which will be a shared arena for both the teams.

The project, which is backed by residents in the area, was recently denied funding by EU programmes body.

The project is currently revising its sports village master plan to realise the project, according to belfasttelegraph.co.uk.
