San Diego Port Commission in the US will revise designs for the proposed San Diego bay front upgrade, which is part of the $228m North Embarcadero visionary plan.
The revised design by the navy broadway complex coalition will add a 150ft-wide park along Harbor Drive and a 800-room hotel, which will be part of the $28m first phase.
The park will replace an oval park at the foot of Broadway, according to signonsandiego.com.
Followed by public consultation, the revised proposal will be submitted to the California Coastal Commission for approval in 2011.
The Centre City Development Corporation is expected to provide funding for the plan’s first phase.
