BDP Architects to Design Chinese University Building

International architectural practice BDP Architects has won a competition to design the new faculty of medicine and administration buildings at Nanjing Medical University in China. The two proposed buildings will comprise a museum and conference auditorium and will cover an area of 70,00

International architectural practice BDP Architects has won a competition to design the new faculty of medicine and administration buildings at Nanjing Medical University in China.

The two proposed buildings will comprise a museum and conference auditorium and will cover an area of 70,000m² on site.

The sustainable scheme has been designed to suit the specific climate conditions of Jiangsu province.

Work on the project will begin next year.

BDP beat Architectural Design Institute of Zhejiang University and Pritzker Prize winning architect Christian de Portzamparc from Paris to win the competition.
