The A$76m (US$68.7m) stadium development will also receive A$25m (US$22.6m) from the State Government of Victoria for phase three of the scheme.

Phase three will involve transformation of the stadium's northern terraces and stands including the addition of a new community wellness and education centre.

It will also include the building of a Geelong sports museum and the upgrade of Geelong Cricket Club and Kardinia Park netball headquarters, according to geelongadvertiser.com.au.
