The design of the new Winnipeg Blue Bombers Stadium in Manitoba, Canada, is likely to be finalised next month.
The initial estimated cost for the 33,000-seat football stadium was $115m, which is now expected to reach $139m due to cost overruns.
The stadium, to be built by David Asper-led Creswin Properties, will stand at the north-west corner of Chancellor Matheson Road and University Crescent, according to winnipegfreepress.com.
Creswin president Dan Edwards said the only stadium component that could wind up on the table was the canopy, which was originally billed as a means of protecting most fans from rain and snow.
“We are in the final stages of the tendering process and once we have those numbers in hand, we will sit down with our partners and finalise the stadium design,” he said.
