Dubai-based interior design specialist Depa will design and equip the interiors of a hotel and casino project in Luanda, Angola, under a $60m contract.

Under the deal, the Burj Khalifa interior contractor will fit out, and supply furniture, fixtures and equipment for the 34,715m² five-star hotel and casino.

Developed by Angolan National Oil Company Sonangol, the hotel is part of the Angolan Government's plans to build 28 hotels by 2011.

The contract is the second for Depa in Angola, following the contract to fit out all 202 guest rooms and public areas of the Talatona Convention Centre Hotel in Luanda in 2009.
