Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat has won a competition to design a new university in Moscow, Russia.

The new corporate university will be built for Russian-based Sberbank to provide education, seminars and team building programmes to the company's top professionals.

All buildings, except the teachers' housing spaces, are connected with an element and climate controlled colonnade.

The structure features a prefabricated wood and glass façade and space elements while the cantilevered floor slabs provide terraces and summer shading to improve the building's thermal mass.

The buildings horizontal surfaces will be used as vegetated roofs to improve the appearance and insulation qualities of the structure.

The scheme is scheduled to open in 2012, according to bdonline.co.uk.
