The five-storey centre will feature a language laboratory, offices, a bookshop and an auditorium.

The building, shaped like a polygon, is part of a larger master plan for the university's eastern campus.

The 28,000m² scheme is expected to be complete by 2013, according to architectsjournal.co.uk.
