Scottish Arts Centre Construction Underway

Work has begun on a new £9.3m ($14.35m) arts centre in Inverclyde, Scotland. The scheme, part of a regeneration programme, is expected to replace Greenock's old Arts Guild. The new centre will be located next to a dockyard near the historic Georgian Custom House.

The new centre will be located next to a dockyard near the historic Georgian Custom House.

The centre will house a 500-seat auditorium, a 130-seat studio theatre, rehearsal rooms, and a cafe and bar.

The project is jointly funded by Greenock Arts Guild and its project partners Creative Scotland, Inverclyde Council, Riverside Inverclyde and the Big Lottery Fund.
