A new £6.4m ($10m) library centre has been unveiled in England, UK.

The Paignton Library and Information Centre in Devon, includes a new state-of-the-art library, a multipurpose meeting space, a cafe, a media suite and other facilities.

The building, which has been inspired by railway history, has been designed by Kensington Taylor and features saw-tooth and pitched roof forms.

The library is part of the first phase of the area's regeneration programme and is funded by Torbay Council and the Big Lottery Fund.

The building serves as a centralised facility for a number of agencies including community police, adult and community learning, and connections.
