Plans for a new library and museum complex to be built in Hertfordshire, England, have been approved by the local council.

The building will be located next to All Saints Church in Borehamwood and will replace the existing library in Elstree Way.

The centre will also house a community hall – the Lair Youth Centre, according to BBC News.

The £4.5m ($7m) building plans were approved by Hertsmere Borough Council.

Work on the project will begin soon and the scheme is expected to be open in December 2011.
