Designs for the new Glasgow School of Art building in Scotland, UK, have been unveiled.

Steven Holl Architects and JM Architects of Glasgow and Arup, have been appointed to design the £50m ($78m) glass building.

The scheme will include studio and new digital media spaces, a lecture theatre and seminar rooms, exhibition space and the centre for advanced textiles.

A planning application and a business proposal have now been submitted to Glasgow City Council and to the Scottish funding council.

The building is expected to be complete by 2013, according to heraldscotland.com.
