Construction of a new National Hockey League arena in Quebec City, Canada, is expected to begin next year.
The Quebec Government will provide 45% of the C$400m (US$387m) cost while the Quebec City will provide C$50m (US$48.4m) and the remaining C$175m (US$169.7m) is expected from the federal government.
A feasibility study for an 18,000-seat stadium showed it would be profitable, according to the National Post.
The city will secure a loan of C$25m (US24.2) to conduct a series of preparatory studies and tender process for the new rink.
The stadium is being built as part of the city’s bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics.
