The Crocker Art Museum in California, US, will reopen following the completion of a 11,212m² expansion worth $100m.

The L-shaped addition has been designed by US-based Gwathmey Siegel & Associates.

The wing features a new entrance and is clad in flat panels of white aluminum and pre-weathered zinc with a white squared exterior.

The addition also features 18m saw-toothed galleries, a paved courtyard, a new cafe / reception area and a two-storey glass wall, according to the sfgate.com.
