Ground-breaking for the new 22,000-seat soccer stadium in Texas, US, is scheduled in January 2011.
The $60m stadium is being delivered by Manhattan Construction for the Houston Dynamo organisation.
The multipurpose stadium has been designed by international architectural practice Populous while Walter P Moore served as the structural engineer.
The new stadium will include 34 luxury suites, 1,000 club seats, a stadium club, an upper and a lower bowl with roof canopy structures on both sidelines and a stage canopy at the south end.
The project is expected to be open by 2012.
