Designed by Kris Yao and Artech, the project has been modelled on the shape of the cuesta rocks, found in north-east Taiwan.

The museum has been designed to integrate with its wetland surroundings and gives a floating appearance.

The construction of the museum took 18 years to complete, according to taiwantoday.com.
