Zaha Hadid Architects has unveiled the designs for a proposed 200m-high office project in Beijing, China.

Located between the city centre and the airport, the Wangjing Soho project serves as a welcome post to the city.

The 521,000m² scheme will feature two office towers clad in an external skin and connected by a retail podium.

Work on the project will start early next year, according to architectsjournal.co.uk.

Zaha Hadid beat Massimiliano Fuksas and SANAA to win the project in a competition in December 2009.
