The new Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust in California, US, will open next week.

The 4,572m² museum, designed by US-based Belzberg Architects, is partially carved into the side of a hill in the Pan Pacific park and features a green rooftop.

It also features galleries, archive spaces, museum offices and an underground parking garage.

The design received the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Commission Design Honor Award and the Los Angeles Business Council Green Building Design Award prior to completion, according to local sources.
