The new PHP1bn ($23m) Mind Museum in Manila, the Philippines, is expected to open in 2011.
Designed by Philippine practice Lor Calma and Partners, the project will meet the US Green Building Council’s leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED) standards.
The 12,000m² building is strategically positioned to receive maximum sunlight and features an embossed grid line design due to its metallic roof.
The building blueprint addresses water shortage with measures such as rain harvesting and recycling of greywater.
The Bonifacio Art Foundation is the main proponent of the project, which will feature five galleries and an outdoor area, according to mb.com.ph.
