Steven Holl Architects has unveiled the designs for the new building at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland.

The practice won the international design competition in 2009 and is working in collaboration with JM Architects.

The teaching and research building is to be located opposite to the school's famous Mackintosh Building.

The building will hold studios, seminar rooms, a lecture hall, student galleries, and an interpretation centre for the Mackintosh Building.

Work will begin in mid-2011 and will be complete in 2013, according to archrecord.com.
