Work will soon begin on the Leadenhall Building in London, UK, following an agreement between the British Land Company and Oxford Properties to jointly develop it.
The 224m building, designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners, will be the tallest building in the city upon completion.
The £340m ($534.6m) tower will provide 56,670.8m² of office space and a four-storey public space featuring retail and leisure facilities.
Detailed planning consent is in place and demolition and preliminary basement works have already been completed.
On site construction will begin in 2011 and final completion is slated for 2014.
